We understand that your circumstances may change, and we aim to handle refund requests fairly and transparently. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested and issued. Please read it carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing our services, you agree to the terms of this policy.

This policy applies to all services provided directly by Corporate Direct, except as noted below. Refunds are processed in the original form of payment and may take up to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.

Services requiring submission to government agencies

Many of our services, such as LLC or corporate formation, involve preparing and submitting documents to government agencies (e.g., state secretaries of state or other regulatory bodies).

For these services:

  • Refund eligibility before submission: You may contact us to request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase date, provided that we have not yet submitted any documents related to your order to the relevant government agency.
  • No refunds after submission: Once we have submitted any documents to a government agency on your behalf, your order is considered non-refundable. This includes any filing fees or third-party charges that have been incurred.
  • Bundled or packaged orders: If your order includes multiple products or services purchased together (e.g., a formation package with additional filings), the entire order becomes non-refundable if any portion of it has been submitted to a government agency. We cannot issue partial refunds in such cases.

Services not requiring submission to government agencies

For services that do not involve submissions to government entities, such as standalone document preparation (e.g., operating agreements or meeting minutes):

  • Refund eligibility before completion: You may contact us to request a full refund within 60 days of your purchase date, provided that the order has not been completed.
  • Refund eligibility after completion: Your order is considered "completed" when the final deliverables are made available to you (e.g., via email, download, or mail). We cannot issue refunds in such cases.

Exculsions and limitations

  • Legal consultations and affiliated services: This policy does not cover refunds for legal work, such as consultations with attorneys through our affiliated Sutton Law Center. Refund terms for those services are governed separately by Sutton Law Center's policies.
  • Third-party fees and charges: Refunds do not include any third-party fees, such as payments to our service partners, filing fees paid to government agencies, or other external costs. Once paperwork is submitted to a government agency, we cannot refund any associated filing fees, even if a refund has otherwise eligible under this policy.
  • Non-refundable items: Certain items or services may be explicitly marked as non-refundable at the time of purchase. In such cases, this policy does not apply.
  • Abuse of policy: We reserve the right to deny refund requests ifwe determine, in our sole discretion, that the request is abusive, fraudulent, or not made in good faith (e.g., repeated refund requests for similar services).

How to request a refund

To request a refund, please contact our customer support team at support@corporatedirect.com and provide your invoice number, purchase date, and a brief explanation of your request. We will review your request based on the criteria above and respond within 5 business days. Please note that we may require additional information or documentation to process your request.
